“C'mon sister, at least don’t just shoo me like that... I guess she is busy...” the younger sister of the Chieftess pouted on her way to the school through the shore of Alexandrite.
“Oh, Ephi!“ a Deep blue skinned Krym greeted the Chieftess sister “I saw your sister on her way to the hall, you already meet with her?" Brey interrupted himself while talking to his older brother Mavlov.
“I did actually, but you don’t happen to know Aqua’s whereabouts?”
“Sorry, we thought she went along with you sister when we returned, oh by the way, I forgot to empty my basked when we were back on the Pillars, you want it?”
The young sky-blue skinned Krygnym checked the contents of the small basked by Brey’s hip.
“Say Brey, why does your basked have more than all four of us combined?” The Older brother clearly taunting Brey.
“Give me a break Mav, you know I Like Xagaxa” a slightly blushed Brey responded.
“Yet what you did a couple of years a-”
“Please stop” The younger brother interrupted the older.
“Haha, just kidding kid, even now as a soldier you still fall for this kind of jokes, haha” Mavlov laughed.
“*chuckle*, I guess they’ll be useful for Lady Suxuq and for the Dragol-” she stopped herself on her tracks.
“WHAT, they brought another one? when were you going to tell us?” almost at the same time the brothers jumped “and here I am being chased by some overgrown leech” added Brey “Cut it you clown” Mavlov slapped Brey.
“Fine then, as payment for the basket ill save you some of the leftover... if there are any” jokingly Ephiri said to the brothers.
“Come on, I take it for granted that Aqua is going, she isn't going to leave anything!” Brey pleaded “Please, leave something to us”
The Dragolisk was dangerous enemy, but a very tasty one, especially when Ephiri herself cooked it, its meat was reserved for the higher ups of the tribe, except when the soldiers caught more than five in a day, it was then when the rest of the village could enjoy the Greasy meat of Dragolisk that bit back once cooked.
“Fine, I'll tell you what, if you manage to: One, convince Rek and the butcher to give me a little more and Two, make sister invite you herself”
“Well that's one damn gap between tasks...” Brey complained.
“Sorry, it has to be like that, sister looked quite mad when I talked to her, so I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing this for her”
“Very well, we see what can we do, but don’t blame us if Aqua reaches her first” Mavlov sounded like a proper older brother for a second there.
“If that’s all, I'll be going to the school, please send me Aqua if you find her”
“And we'll be searching for the General, the butcher and hopefully find her on the way”
They took different paths, the brothers to the center of the Village and Ephiri to the school near the beach.
More than halfway there she meets with the Verdant Aquila.
“Lady Ephiri, your sister sent me to help”
“I thought so, come, we have to prepare some things for the next lecture of Lady Suxuq, oh, have you seen Aquara by any chance?”
“Sorry Lady Ephiri I have not”
“Fine... and cut the Lady thing, is getting annoying”
“Thanks, Ephi and sorry, Azur gave me a scare for life when I meet her on her way to the hall”
“What? You did something to her?”
“Nothing, really, just sounded like she was really mad at something and I was just hoping that It wasn’t me”
“(I guess he still doesn’t know about the Lion...) probably something to do with Rekzot and that Dragolisk you found”
“Yea, though, I don’t think I'll be getting any credit for that”
“Not that you really wanted that anyway” Ephiri knew that he didn’t really cared for the credit for any hunt, he just wanted to impress Azur, even after Five years of failed attempts.
“Well you’re right about that”
“Not that friendly you tadpole” angry Ephiri scolded Aquila “I’m not going to tell you to go back to full formalities but do not forget that I'm still your superior”
“Y-yes, Ephi” the scared Twenty years old verdant boy complied.
“That said, I'm not going to stop you on future attempts, but do stop them for today, okay?”
“U-understood..."
Silence reigned between the two Krygnym as they reached the school, the younglings were playing near the water that was protected by a reef that on low tide rose above the waters.
Many too small to fight Krygnym were really happy when they saw Ephiri near the entrance.
She caught the first one that reach her on her arm, its head was an interesting pale green with blue arms and legs followed by its inversed twin that grabbed her hand and, while playing with her, she finally reached the interior of the school.
“Miss Ephi, why was the school closed this morning” a dangerous question flew from a very dark purple youngling.
“Oh, Lady Suxuq had to meet with Azur and they took more time than predicted”smiling Ephiri said to all the kids.
“Oh, I see, what were they talking about?" yet another difficult question a pale blue kid flew at Ephiri.
“I don’t know, maybe a surprise for good children?!” Ephiri said to excite the kids and made them forget about the matter.
“Ooooooooooh!” they all, except the green ‘adult’ on the room, jumped in excitement.
“Now, be good children and go out to play, we have to make sure that everything is in order for when Lady Suxuq arrives, okay?”
“Okay, Miss Ephiri” many voiced said as they all ran outside.
“Hm, it seems the place is more arranged than I thought it’d be, Aquila please go and watch them so that they don’t hurt each other”
“Well, you using magic is something that I don’t wanna miss but...” Ephiri looked at him angrily.
“fine fine, I'm going” and like so the Green Krygnym stepped outside and closed the door behind him.
“Now to work”
A weird seal made of orange light appeared on front of Ephiri’s forehead and from it, as it spins on itself, two lines that drew all the way to her hears and a little beyond them. As she did some hand gestures: Out of nowhere the mess of toys on the ground started to pick itself up, went in a box that was way bigger than Ephiri herself that was then shrinked and placed on a shelf, after that, many bookshelves appeared from a blank wall behind the desk that Suxuq usually uses, on the desk there was a book about sea legends opened in a page about the Lion of the North Sea, it closed and put itself on the bookshelf, a rug materialized from the painting of the floor and, from the bookshelves, many small books of a similar look from each other got on the desk one on top of the other.
The Seal on her forehead now disappeared and she knew that some of the kids had been watching her but she ignored them for a while.
“Hmm” she looked in the direction of which the kids were watching her this entire time “Yea, it looks that there are couple misbehaving children around here” she pretended to not having noticed them and to analyze a ’stain’ on the floor “looks like I'll have to make them clean this mess with their own hands next time around”
“(shit, she found out) let's get going kids or else she will get angry” Aquila whispered to the kids that were spying on Ephiri from the back of the School shack.
The sound of the front door opening made Aquila fear for his life and the words of the Female standing there only made him feel worse.
“Aquila, where are you?”
“(Crap, I'm sorry little brats)” lamented himself as he walked to the front door with four kids on his arms “Caught them spying on you” said nervously.
“You sold us out!!!”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about...”
“Hmm, well done Aquila” she obviously knew that the whole spying was his idea, but decided to turn it to a lecture to the kids “You may have a reward from Lady Suxuq when she arrives, the rest of you...”
“AH, we are sorry Miss Ephiri! We won't do that again!”
“Oh, I'll make sure of that once Lady Suxuq arrives”
“*gulp*” the five of them swallowed saliva.
“Now, get inside, she should arrive any minute”
“Y-yes, miss!” everyone apart from Ephiri exclaimed
“Not you, you have to go see the Chieftess, don’t you Aquila?”
“Right, I'll take my leave”
“Wait me at the entrance, I have something for my sister”
“(I’m dead) sure Lady Ephiri (wait... shit)”
The verdant Krygnym walked slowly and silently towards the exit wishing that someone saved him, but no one came.
“You damn child!” still scared from before he could not dodge Ephiri’s slap as it hit him on the side of the head, not strong to knock him out, but he did feel it.
“(but you are younger than me) I’m so sorry Ephi” he resisted the urges to beg on his knees to not ruin the image of anyone here.
“Enough, go see my sister, I'm sure she'll be finished with whatever she needs you to do, and do NOT anger her, got it? That's an order!”
“I’m so sorry Ephi, is there something I can do to repay you?” now he begged, he knew she was angry at him.
“(and that’s why none of the females want you...) actually... there is”
“good, what is it?”
“If on your way to the hall you find Aqua, tell her that I nedd to speak to her immediately, is urgent, that’s it, she’ll know”
“uh... very well (crap, if don’t find Aquara she’ll surely scold me) I'll be leaving then”
“Oh, one last thing, take care on your mission” At last the verdant Krygnym smiled “I will, and if I'm not, I'm fast enough to-”
“Don't push your luck, now off you go”
“Right, till we see again Ephi” running at top speed the verdant Krygnym disappeared from vision in a matter of seconds.
Aquila the Verdant Messenger, twenty years old, 2m (6.2f) tall, this young Krynym spents most of his time outside the village on errands, whether it be Pursuing a prey to not lost track of it, delivering a message or scouting he is the best for the job. That said it has been surprisingly difficult for him to find a female, mainly because he is interested in Azur, but many of the females on the village just don’t seem to like him too much, maybe it’s tied to the why is he so fixed on Azur. Close friend to Rekzot even though only when they are both on a hunt.
Tumul The Veteran, Eigthy-Four years old, 2.1m (6.9f) tall, he had lost some of his height and color due old age. Now his skin was a weird matte grey blue and torso was also a matte gray-black. He is one of the veterans of the village who supported Azur on her quest to becoming the first Chief on a long time. He had two Sons, a 60 y/o traveler who died abroad and now Yldres was on his place. The second one, twenty-eight, main everyday fisher and forager on the waters near the Pillars, he also supported Azur on her quest and was a powerful ally against the Brey of that era, sadly he and his team, including Tumul, were attacked by the Lion not so long ago, he didn't make it back.
