A silent barrier of water
Washes the shore with death
Cries muted by the crashing tide of watery despair

No where to run
No where to hide
Crashing objects pushing all aside

Bodies tossed back and forth like fragile dolls
Houses shattered into mere splintered shells
Piles of broken dreams

The land stained by destruction
Grief mourning so much that was
Scarred with restrained remorse

People at a total loss
A nation bearing natures cost
No end in sight dreams forever lost
