There is only today
This is what I tell myself each morning I wake
My eyes open to my prison once more
The curse leaves my lips
There is only today
I must tell myself this, that I find strength to rise
Tomorrow does not exist, cannot exist
To look beyond today is but pain
Is to see this torture never ending
There is only today.
Hours trail endlessly one atop the other
My strength wanes, my grip loosens
Merciful night’s curtain is drawn, the day is done
I lie on the bed; the memories refuse me the solace of sleep
I mouth the words; say the prayer:
Let there be only today.

Can identify very well
Can identify very well believe me,
but rather try to see it this way,
"Yesterday is just a Memory
Tomorrow is a Mystery
Today is a Gift,
That is why
We call it the Present!
Be happy, smile! Jesus loves you!
