E + Al 'Possession'

This section is about how Allianz 'possesses' Elizabeth. Possession is when a vampire takes control of a human's body, mind and soul. So basically the human becomes the vampire's robot. Possession is a magical ritual which involves the human to be 1. In love with the vampire 2. Be 1/2 full with the vampire's blood 3. A spelled dagger must be impaled into the human's heart. It's a little difficult to follow since this is the last scene of the whole screenplay but a lot of things can be clicked together. Anyhow I'd love to hear your opinions on how to characters are shown to you and enjoy!

 

Allianz’s Chambers:

Elizabeth walks into Allianz’s chambers. Allianz is stood by a table chanting a spell with a possession dagger and a Capiture. Elizabeth stops when she sees the dagger in the Allianz’s hand with her name written across the wooden blade and Allianz’s written across the handle. Allianz doesn’t notice Elizabeth’s presence and continues to chant the spell.

An image of a similar Capiture clouds the scene. Camera angles at the words ‘dominate’, ‘undying pain’, ‘death’ and an illustration of a possession dagger, exactly like the dagger in Allianz’s hand.

The image fades returning to Allianz’s chambers. Elizabeth drops her glass of wine on the floor and runs out of the room. Allianz stops chanting and turns to where Elizabeth once was. Allianz walks slowly with the possession dagger towards the shattered glass and bends down to pick a piece of glass up from the ground.

Allianz: (Shouting) Elizabeth!

Allianz ‘vampire’ walks to catch up with running Elizabeth. Elizabeth hears Allianz and hides behind a walls, holding her hand over her mouth and crying softly.

Allianz: What are you running from, princess? You need not fear me; I won’t hurt you. Come here.  Don’t hide from me. What are you afraid of (Silence)? (Shouting angrily) Elizabeth! (Silence) Elizabeth! I know you’re near; I can hear you breathing.

Argon gestures his hand towards the wall Elizabeth is behind. Elizabeth screams as Allianz inflicts agonizing pain on her though magic. Elizabeth falls to the ground. Allianz sees Elizabeth. Elizabeth slowly rises, still in pain and screaming. Elizabeth looks at the windows. The windows explode cutting Allianz’s skin. Allianz stops casting Elizabeth. Elizabeth swallows.

Allianz: Clever girl

Elizabeth stares at the dagger in Allianz’s hand. Elizabeth’s breathing quickens.

Allianz: (Lifting up the dagger) This? You know. Argon. Very clever girl.

Allianz begins to walk towards Elizabeth, smirking. Elizabeth walks backwards, briskly and scared. Elizabeth gestures at the windows as Allianz walks toward her and they shatter.

Allianz: We’re going to play a game, Elizabeth, and I’m going to win.

Elizabeth: (Shaking head) No.

Allianz: You don’t know the rules yet. Don’t shun the game until you feel the energy. Feel me.

Allianz casts two golden serpents and orders them towards Elizabeth. Elizabeth stops when she sees the serpents. The serpents wind around Elizabeth’s body and tighten around her neck, strangling her. Allianz walks towards Elizabeth and kisses her passionately. Allianz tangles Elizabeth’s hair around his dagger. Abruptly Allianz slices the serpents around Elizabeth’s neck, their blood sprays on to Allianz’s face and pours down Elizabeth’s neck. The serpents fall to the ground.

Allianz: (Holding his hand to Elizabeth) Play with me.

Elizabeth takes Allianz’s hand crying and shaking.

Allianz: You’re trembling, Elizabeth. Am I taunting you? Tormenting you? Torturing you?

Elizabeth: (Looking up to Allianz) Yes.

 

Throne room scene:

Allianz guides Elizabeth into the throne room. Where Elizabeth sees her mother hanging dead from the chandelier in the centre of the room, her father pinned to the wall with screws through his hands and eyes and his stomach slashed across spilling out his insides, and her brother sat playing a violin, crying with blood pouring from his wrists.

Elizabeth: (Crying hysterically and walking towards her brother) Tommen…

Allianz: Don’t!

Elizabeth: (Angrily) What sort of sick twisted game are you playing?

Allianz: Dance with me

Silence

Elizabeth: (Shouting angrily) Answer me!

Allianz: (Putting finger to Elizabeth’s lips) Dance. With. Me.

Elizabeth: No

Allianz slaps Elizabeth across the face and grabs the neck of her dress, dragging her towards her brother.

Allianz: Tommen! I want you to take that bow and slice it across your neck so your darling sister can see your blood pour. And feel the burn of your blood on her hands. Wouldn’t you like that Elizabeth?

Allianz throws Elizabeth to her knees, still holding the neck of her dress.

Elizabeth: (Pleadingly) No. Please.

Allianz: (Bends down to be at Elizabeth’s eye level and gestures Tommen to stop) Beg. Beg me.

Elizabeth: (Clasps Allianz’s hair and pulls herself toward him) I beg of you, King Allianz of Galideas, I love you, please spare my brother and I will forever be in your debt. (Elizabeth kisses Allianz passionately and intimately).

Allianz: (Playing with Elizabeth’s hair) You are very very sexy when you beg, darling, and you are powerfully correct you shall be forever in my debt as will I be in yours. (Gestures for Tommen to continue).

Tommen uses the bow to cut his throat. Elizabeth screams. Tommen’s blood pours down his neck and drips to the floor, leaking towards Elizabeth. Elizabeth drops her hands on top of Tommen’s blood, crying hysterically.

Elizabeth: (Looking up to Allianz in rage) You have a heart of pure ice.

Allianz: Melt my heart then.

Elizabeth: You don’t understand. You can never understand. He was my brother.

Allianz: He was a boy.

Elizabeth: I loved him.

Allianz: And I love you.

The room begins to shake. The chandelier falls the ground. Elizabeth stands up and begins to leave the room. The swords on the wall charge towards Allianz and pin his clothes to the walls. Elizabeth looks back towards Allianz with bloodshot eyes then begins to run when she sees Allianz pull away from the wall. Elizabeth’s dress catches a nail on the door frame and rips off. The corpses in the room explode and their blood sprays over Allianz. Allianz ‘vampire’ walks to the door frame and clasps the fabric, inhaling the scent,

 

Mirror room scene:

Elizabeth runs into a room full of mirrored walls. Allianz walks in behind her.

Allianz: Very very clever girl. You’re frightened.

                            Allianz throws a knife towards a mirror and it shatters. Elizabeth gasps.                           

Allianz: I can feel you trembling

Elizabeth: Stop.

Allianz: Your heart’s pumping.

Allianz throws another knife towards a mirror and it shatters.

Allianz: I can feel each beat.

Elizabeth: Stop.

Allianz: You’re bleeding.

Allianz throws another knife towards a mirror and it shatters.

Allianz: I can smell your blood.

Elizabeth: Stop!

Allianz throws the possession dagger at Elizabeth and it plunges into her thigh. Elizabeth cries. Allianz ‘vampire’ walks to the back of Elizabeth and pulls her close.

Allianz: He taught you well (inhales) but not well enough. You’re mine, my Elizabeth, all mine.

Elizabeth: You don’t own me. (Pulls the dagger from her thigh, twist and slits Allianz throat)

Allianz loosens his grip on Elizabeth and grabs his neck attempting to stop the blood spill. Elizabeth stands away from Allianz as he reaches out for her. Elizabeth limps out of the mirror room and rips part of her dress off, tying it around the wound on her thigh.

 

Chapel scene:

Elizabeth limps towards the alter. Allianz ‘vampire’ walks in front of her intercepting her path.

Allianz: (Clicking neck) That hurt.

Elizabeth runs past Allianz but he grabs Elizabeth’s hair and pulls her back towards him. Allianz throws Elizabeth by her hair across three pews, smashing them apart. Elizabeth hits her head on a pillar then tries to clamber to her feet. Allianz throws the possession dagger at Elizabeth’s hand, pinning her to the ground. Elizabeth reaches to grab the dagger but Allianz runs and pushes in down further. Elizabeth cries. Allianz pulls the dagger from Elizabeth’s hand and pins her hands to the ground.

Allianz: (Panting) Your run from me?

Elizabeth: (Deep breathing) Please. (Tears run down face)

Allianz: (Tucking Elizabeth’s hair behind her ears) Don’t cry I can’t stand it when you cry.

The shot fades into an image of the castle hallways, Elizabeth’s last forgotten memory.

 

Memory scene:

Argon: This isn’t right.

Allianz: Morals do not matter, you have to do this, you must. I order you.

Argon:  I love her, brother.

Allianz: You can’t.

Argon: Why are you doing this to me? To her?

Allianz: Don’t you dare bring her into this. This is between you and me. It has nothing to do with her.

Argon: It has everything to do with her. She’s a child.

Allianz: She’s fifteen.

Argon: She is a young girl. She doesn’t deserve this.

Allianz: She is my wife.

Argon: Not yet.

Allianz: You really think she’d refuse me. Do you really think I’d let her. She is mine. I will destroy everything in my path to conceal her to me.

Argon: She is not sword in your new collection. She is a girl. A beautiful, intelligent, naïve, young girl.

Allianz: You will do this or you will die.

Argon: I will not torture Elizabeth, I’d rather die than burn her or cut her or whip her once more because each time I hurt her, each time I see her cry… it burns my skin, it pierces my eyes. It kills me to see her die.

 

Possession scene:

The image distorts back to Elizabeth and Allianz in the chapel.

Elizabeth: You. You ordered him to torture me.

Allianz: Yes and I did it all for you. I love you, my darling (kisses Elizabeth’s neck) princess (kisses Elizabeth’s neck) Elizabeth. (Stabs Elizabeth in the heart with the possession dagger).

Allianz kisses Elizabeth’s lips lightly and pulls her neck towards him. Elizabeth stares at Allianz, tears streaming down her face. Elizabeth falls still. Allianz kisses Elizabeth’s forehead, crying. Allianz shuts Elizabeth’s eyes then walks out of the chapel with a serious expression on his face.
