Conundrums, Referendums and Anti Semitism
It’s a conundrum that we just can’t solve.
Should we stay or should we go.
Will we wreck our economy or lose our rights?
Or will we save a hell of a lot of money and give tax cuts to the rich?
While the favoured few from private schools and top universities have a go at trying to become Prime Minister,
And juggle ministerial posts in the hope of future gain,
The Labour Party is investigating anti Semitism once again,
And wrecking its media image by trying to root out freedom of speech within its own ranks.
Jewish socialists are jumping ship, moderates and remainers,
People who have sat happily and complacently in the Party for years,
preaching kindness generosity and peace, or New Labour efficiencies.
There are calls for more committees to be formed and investigative processes ramped up.
No stone will be unturned,
All statements will be monitored,
And the thought police will be on their tail.
Meanwhile the old mass of Labour voters yawn and just wish they would get on with doing what the people voted for three years ago.
Then we can get on with real politics again.
Dare I say it, Perhaps the MPs should have voted for Theresa May’s Deal while they had the chance.
Now the policy has moved on and the Party’s indecision has inevitably grown.
Give the People another chance to express their opinion,
As Parliament can never be trusted to decide anything these days.
Let the People decide instead!
Let us have rule by referendum.
Then we can have a few more debates about what to put in it,
And make even more political messes.
(What would Stalin have done?
He would have had them all shot by now,
And given the young generation a chance to take over.)
