The Cabal planned the takeover of the nation. It would be like a Game! – not the Game of Thrones – but the Game of Democracy (and Economics!) (and incidentally Law!). The only trouble was – that it would be an expensive Game; to persuade the American voters that it would be in their interest to vote for a Gambler and a Changeling to be their President; that would be a difficult thing to achieve!
To attract the people who thought the nation was paying too much money to too many foreign causes and too many domestic causes. The foremost cause right now was the fledgeling Democracy of Ukraine, to which much aid and military support was flowing, to keep them afloat, as the Putin Oligarchy poured most of Russia’s resources into retaking its old colony back from the Western Democratic and Economic camp. He promised confidently that he would end that war by swift negotiation in only a day! No further taxpayers’ money would need to be wasted in an impossible to win war, but the Russians (well Putin himself actually, for who else mattered in Russia? He was the head of the Russian Oligarchy, and used all the levers of the state to preserve his own power, and the pyramid of control beneath him.) would surely be happy to come to some terms if it meant holding onto the gains they already made.
And to those who actually wanted Ukraine to win the war, and retake most at least of its territories, and perhaps (only if they were lucky?) to cause Putin’s autocracy to topple and get a more democratic start for Russia he could leave that possibility open. After all he had been quite tough on the Iranians, and the Chinese, and even on those erstwhile peaceniks, the European nations in NATO, when he was in power last time. To those who thought he would lead a Christian resurgence against the muslim infidels in particular, by kicking them out of the country, by refusing them any favours, and by bolstering Israel, he gave encouragement

America’s advantage until now had been the ideals it espoused,
and the feelings echoed by its many supporters and allies around the world,
that it led the free world, in which its more civilized values were a beacon to other nations and peoples.
Although it may frequently have crossed boundaries of decency and acceptability,
it was able for many years to stand for relative decency and stability.
All of a sudden, or perhaps gradually over a period of time, with a sudden dive into the depths of grubby beggar thy neighbor bartering and posturing it sank in the estimation of virtually the whole world.
So much for ‘Making America Great Again’!
Its closest neighbours and allies, with which it shared borders, were turned overnight into economic enemies to be battered as America was to put itself First!
Inevitably this would place a severe test upon American businesses and their survival could not be guaranteed.
The harsh world of economics would provide opportunities for some to reestablish behind trade walls higher than seen for decades, but would threaten to push some who relied on foreign imports too, into bankruptcy and liquidation.
The balance of this fallout seemed likely to be counterproductive to the US and also to its new rivals, who had only been friends the day before.
But try telling that to the President who thought he was running a private business,
Extracting money and contracts for his cronies, even from the State!
