It's You That Makes me Brave Enough

You'd think i'd be filled with doubt
Because I'm still struggling to figure out
Exactly what it is, about you.
You drive me completely insane!
You're arragont, frustrating, vain,
And irritating beyond belief!
I guess I just have to concede,
You are truly impossible to read,
One person I cannot understand.
 
But still I'm left asking why?
Because sometimes you seem so shy,
I find myself drawn back again.
You are a man meant to rile,
But there's just something in that smile
That seems to draw me back again.
I do not think you're the type to decieve
And I am starting to believe,
There's something similar about me and you.
 
And I wonder what it is really
That you think when you think of me.
I remember you told me once,
That you think I'm so tough,
But it's you that makes me brave enough
To simply be myself.
Maybe if i had not delayed,
I wouldn't still be so afriad
To just say what it is I feel.
 
Now please don't get me wrong,
This is not a poem to rival a love song
Because Im just not that sort of girl.
And I really hope you heard,
When I said I'm not big on the 'L' word
That's the reason I've held back so far.
Because at the end of the day,
I don't want you to misinterpret what I say,
I like you more than I'm willing to admit.
