s/he likes the drugs that the doctor’s let him/her

get on---

for

whatever was the reason that s/he found him/herself

sitting in the chair,

s/he convinced the idiot to prescribe

that which the government allows

in order to stop him/her from buying the good shit on the streets---

replacing his/her once beloved heroin

with oxy, hydros, etc.

s/he moves from one doctor to the next,

getting them all to give him/her what s/he wants,

building a realm of legal addiction

to the drugs that the government has no problem

holding her to

&

each day that goes by,

each pill that s/he pops,

his/her body grows more tolerant &

with so many doctors on his/her roster,

the doses go

up

up

up!

this is the way that BIG PHARM profits

from the addictive personalities that once bought from the

street---

rather than rehabilitate,

rather than actually help the addicts,

this country strangled,

tears the individual from the wild world of “illegality,”

in order to produce a new population of doped up people

who

are

“cured,”

and now bank rolling ol’ uncle sam,
