a post-kardashian world

most of the time,
i’d say, 99.9% of the time,
i long for a
post-kardashian world.
now, when i speak of kardashian,
i do not speak of the lesser kardashians
that no one cares about…
no,
i speak of the
big-assed,
glamour-queen,
sex-tape,
door knob of a human being,
that we have all accepted as being
“relevant”
&
the clones that march in her wake---
all those that make up
the kardashianism of our culture…
yes,
that means
lady gaga,
miley cyrus &
all the plastic one-hit-wonders
who have been whored out & pimped by the industry
to prove that talent means nothing in our
shallow,
hollowed out,
america.
this kardashianism writhes in the pompous ego of
kanye west as well---
a man who cannot live for even a moment
outside of the limelight…
as if
anyone
cares
anymore.
for saying that you are the shit,
even if you are the shit,
makes you look like a self-aggrandizing
fuck,
and he takes the bill.
so as the king & queen of
kardashianism,
tie the knot and churn out more of the same,
we need to put an end to their faces being on every
goddamn magazine,
every news show,
every website…
as
if
there
was
nothing
better
happening
in this stupid country.
but there is that .1% of my time
that gets spent looking at this a whole different way…
that is,
if the majority of america is brainwashed into giving a shit
about this
kardashianism…
then most certainly, they will never corrupt the art in the world
that is actually good!
and unlike these paper mache icons,
who will shrivel and die with time,
these less seen & less heard artists
will ring true throughout our lives,
giving us substance
while the rest of the world rots away,
like the teeth of a kid who refuses to stop eating
candy,
or a fucking
meth head whose grown to love the pipe
just as much as s/he’s grown to worship
the lack of anything real
left within the borders of this country.
