Unwanted Memories

You think you're someone
In charge,
Directing the ins and outs
Choosing what stays, what goes
Not one to be taken over
And carried away with fate,
But what of the inside,
The restless history
You pretend didn't happen.
Memories have feelings
And they will come
Sad, and bad
Making you squirm
Altering your state
Insisting on being acknowledged
Accepted
Put to rest,
Until then,
They'll gather and materialise
Usually at sunrise
Just as you open you're eyes-
Defenceless and immobilised,
Unlike the moving sky
That has nothing to hide.

I really like the first
I really like the first stanza but then again the whole thing is good.
