An Ode to The Mobile
Can't you see
Can't you switch that fucking thing off.
Can't you see I'm trying to talk to you,
Read this poem in front of a dozen/two/ a thousand (delete as
appropriate)
Why should communication at
any moment be so important that you
interrupt me,
me in my flow.
A moment like this so easily
Goes and I have to wait
A day/ month/ twelve years (delete as appropriate)
'Til it will comeback.
That moment when I have you,
You are listening to my every word
My every breath waiting for that
Oh so powerful and wonderous punch line.
And you give me?.
?? Burp Burp brup burp burp burp??.
Did you know
That your affliction is
the first scientific cure to
smoking, is costing 600
pounds a year, or should I
say making $600 for each mobile
to the owner of the company.
Yet so often you'd never spend
10p on a public call to this
person, but hey I've got 200
free minutes???.
Oh to be called.
I look at you, will you
To ring, but then realise I
Don't like you. Even though
You mat save the stranded
Maiden. Your just a
Consumer-capitalist tool.
We survived without U.
Will it ever be the same again.
