The Secret Seven

I'm quite interested in metaphysics, but prefer to bypass the circular reasoning of formal philosophy with my own brand of intuitive guesswork (ho ho). This is much simpler and no more arguable than endless academic polemic. An example of this, perhaps, is the mystical significance of 7. We have lucky 7, the magnificent 7, the apparent limitation of F1 drivers to go beyond 7 championships, and the mental age of Saturday evening entertainers (7).
To test the ubiquity of this argument I once quickly ascertained the average day/night temperatures in the UK. Although temperature fluctuations often lead to burst blood vessels amongst TV forecasters, the mondane result is (you guessed it).

Well, life is very much like playing chess with God (and always losing). Gambits, defences and inadvertently knocking the board all fail, ultimately.....
