Buena Vista
Seeping through tight fists outstretched
Light hanging far off in the distance--
Choked by fog from my boxcar door
Vibrance muffled with grey eyes
Sophia whispers seductively
Adonis proudly rears an assertive silouette--
Then stamps away rhythmically to the beat of distant sambas--
All the Flavor--All the SPICE--ALL THE PASSION
Bella donna
Sweetest of purfumes
Lead the blind from the stumblings of an ambling night
Cast off stagnant pretense
Carry me to humanity
Where the fire burns but does not scathe
Where the discerning ear is bathed in elegance from the crass
Where the thorn and poppy are a single intertwining joy
Where the woman and man breathe as one
