As The Music Played.

Deceit and betrayal hurt her bitterly, yet crying was not an option
Instead she walked confidently attracting the eye of the many men
The ballroom floor was full, yet as this elegant lady strolled through everyone wanted her
She allowed one tall handsome man to take her hand, and he led her to the floor.
She danced hard, with strong firm arms, her body emphasized every note the pianist played
Focused clearly on what she had just seen, she didn't allow these feelings to show
Her partner moved with her, continuously adoring her stance and strength
Her confidence excited him, she was being marveled at by the entire crowd.
Behind her she could see her husband watching, he had parted from his lover to take notice of his wife
The crowds delight at her had obviously caught his eye, his lover now feeling spurned
As the music drew the dance to a close she turned to face her hearts attacker
Through a deep penetrating glance she replaced a thousand words
And satisfied he understood she turned away, finally allowing a tear to escape her watered eyes.
