Difficulties were there to be overcome; in good times and bad

Who else had lost their knickers in Oxford Street London; stepping into the porch of a department store in order to discreetly clamber out of them. She'd laughed at herself whilst stuffing her medium size red pants into her hand-bag and then hoped not to fall over anymore.
It was strange how garments fell off of her like the nylons with the not very elastic grip that slid to her shoes not to mention the tiny pants that had attached themselves to the handle of her handbag. Everyone would have known they were bright red and a skimpy size eight that waved like a delicate flag as she'd strode confidently through Kettering town centre.
Then her memory returned, as crazy memories tend to do, of the time that her stick on, stick up chicken breast bra dropped clearly away from her breasts and onto the dance floor. It might not have been quite so embarrassing if it had't been at a posh function as she had been delighfully whirling around her mini-handbag that sat in the middle of their girating, happy group. Of course, Dee being Dee, she had to laugh then rushed to the ladies loo with the broken latch and empty toilet roll with tears needing to be wiped away.
Life might have been more comfortable if their had been something she excelled at that drew her away from the constant chaos and strife that was often her life.
She'd recently offered to prepare Easter Sunday lunch for her teacher daughter who grinned as she lifted her brown pony-tail up before fixing it in a knot.
"Please don't try to excell with your baking as we all know quite well by now we will all be tucking into cremated chicken or gravy with lumps in not to mention your soggy vegetables. Now pudding....let's not go there mum!
Dee felt her oldest daughter was being a tad unfair but realised by now that there were many times it was far better to say nothing and then wait for the insults to end.
Dee wrote for a Womens Weekly magazine about twice a month so knew that the difficulties she faced in her life were silly and in the end she could laugh at them; although there was still the temptation to find a way of getting her own back. Every dog has its day!
