Nobody knows

As life unfolds
a fable can be told
life complexity's woven
from the breast
to the grave.
Who can answer why
the dog barks at the door
or the rich man keeps his wealth
and then takes even more.
Who can answer this
as man sets man apart.
The bank it's stealth
in glittering gold.
The line that divides
is thinner than we think
as we lay in soft warm places
and ice forms hard outside.
How can we say we care
and look the other way?
Switch the lights
remove the room for those
without a golden spoon
as life unfolds today.
