Tom part 6

Tom couldn't really say how he knew a lot more than Jenny did. For instance; he knew how it felt to stay forever in a room with people he didn't know or like. Have a cup of tea and biscuit at ten thirty precisely. Be careful not to talk to Katy, with beautiful candy-floss blonde hair and a handbag of many colours and sandals with sparkly buttons. What he especially didn't like about Katy was simply how sharp her teeth were. Even though it was months ago he still felt the teeth marks on his left wrist. But, looking on the bright side, at least he had missed the luke warm tea she had hurled in his direction. Tom had been searching for his jacket and was tenderly touching the poppy had got for him. She had told him that she had bought it to remember all the people in the time of yesterday who had given their all so that people had choices and freedom in their lives and not ruled by anyone else. Of course Tom didn't know about any of those things. However, if his mum, now in heaven, said those things then they had to be important didn't they.
Yet, Tom couldn't understand that people lost their lives by being in the wrong place at the right time or why really evil things were planted in rubbish bins...robbing other people of some or all of everything. Tom heard voices everywhere; but some he could never understand.
