Letters From the Future

Dear Alexandra,
Hello from the future, where we share stories by writing with a stick in the ground. I recently wrote about your visit when we rode the tandem bicycle down to the woods, spending all day hiking and sharing stories until we finally settled in a tree branch suspended over the river reading poetry to keep us alive. Before I could share the best part of our time together, the wind carried the drawings from the ground, stretching them into the sky. But when the sun sets, you can see our incandescent story shimmering in the night sky.
I suppose I'll be the first to tell you. Phones are no longer in use here. We reverted back to the joy of talking face to face. Sometimes we can see our imaginations floating in the sky. The sky is beautiful here! Your face has not changed; beautiful. There is no time in the future because when we kiss time stops, and we are kissing all the time. Our moments together last forever...or seem to. Life is winning here, here in the future, but don't fear my dear Alexandra. We're in it. We're here together!
Hand Kisses,
Story
