How to Write Something Beautiful

'How will I ever write anything beautiful?!'
10 year old me cried
Throwing down a pencil
And getting teary eyed

But how could one so young simply understand?
How could I imagine
Something I'd never felt?
How could I put pen to page
Not knowing where to start ?

The answer was simple
But only evident in years to come
In order to write something beautiful
I had to do one very simple thing

All I had to do was meet you
And feel my soul take wing
