Kissing You

When you kiss me the world melts away

My brain and mouth run out of things to say

I am no longer awake, no longer aware

All I can focus on is you and your hands in my hair

My breath catches in my throat

I’m so happy I could float

Your lips are sweet and soft on mine

I wish we could do this for a longer time

Electricity flows, I feel so alive

We surface but go for another dive

You pull me close, kiss me harder

You fill me with such ardour

Then you pull away, look me in the eyes

It’s funny how quick the time flies

I smile at you and you smile back

I melt inside, all of me goes slack

You drive me crazy and I lose myself around you

So I kiss you again and give you your due
