Rising of phoenix
Chapter 1
It was called "The White Beauty" and well worth its name. A small boy and a girl were playing hide and seek on the deck and nearby their parents were enjoying the seaview from their table while enjoying their evening snack and tea unaware of the storm brewing nearby. An announcement was made asking the passengers to return to their respective rooms and have their safety gadgets handy.
There was chaos amongst the people to return to the safety of their rooms if not for the safety officers the chaos would have turned uncontrollable. When everyone seemed atleast better when in their rooms, one man was brooding over the tidings and was worried about the safety of the passengers and his family. They had been warned about bad weather at this time of the year but now it seemed the trust he put on his captain's decision trusting his experience in the field was wrong. He had given a thumbs up for the cruise and also brought his family along. He rushed to the captain's room to know the situation better. The captain didn't seem as confident as he was before. He was communicating for rescue as well as was preparing for escape of the passengers when they saw the storm approaching them in the distance or was it a tornado? Everything was a blur......
Chapter 2
Sam was an early riser. He got up and went for an early walk. The village was starting to get busy as usual. He had almost reached the river when he heard the soulful song of the bird he could never see. He wondered why it hid itself from audience when it had such a melodious voice.
He climbed the little hill nearby and looked at the expanse of his village down and all he could see was decreasing greenery than last year due to water scarcity which forced the farmers to sell their lands and move to the city. He had just returned from college in the nearby town where there was a growing demand for organic farm produce due to its health aspects. He wondered if he could convince his parents to implement the idea in their farm which would give them more profit. Also, he had heard about the idea of drip and sprinkle irrigations for which he had a low cost prototype in mind which he would first implement in his farm which could reduce water intake. Since the village leader was a distant relative they could convince him about implementing this idea after it worked first in his farm. He wanted to see his village as he remembered in his childhood when the river was full and the village green all round the year.
He could see the sunrise quite brightly now. He climbed down and came to the river and swam across the river till his heart's content and then walked back home by which time breakfast was ready. After his morning routine and breakfast, Sam and his parents went to their farm where he employed in the business of conveying the brainstorm he had with himself in the morning. Though they were objecting at first for they did not want to risk their only livelyhood which educated their son and feeded them, they agreed to give a part of their farm that was unused so far to him to do whatever he wanted to do. After giving it a fair bit of thought, he could understand the reason for their hesitation and agreed with them.
Chapter 3
It was now 2 weeks since his arrival here and the piece of land given to him was already showing a promising greenery. Both his parents were very happy inside but didn't show much on the outside for they could'nt be sure of it till full growth. Of course their ancestors were following such methods but now in today's world they did not know how successful it could be for the methods were kind of ancient and a little tough for them but ofcourse they would get a better price than the regularly grown stuff.
He had taught his parents about it entirely for now he had to return to college for his next semester tommorrow. They didn't want to dishearten their only son so they agreed to follow the procedure meticulously.
In the evening, he went to his room and began working on the plan for the prototype he had been working on for months now. He hoped with all his heart that if it worked according to his plan he could be really going somewhere unthinkable by his peers in the near future.
After dinner, in his room he felt a little anxious about the educational tour they were going to go tommorrow. Of course, it was going to give him the very practical knowledge that he very much needed to improvise his prototype on. He hoped that it would open up new ideas in his mind.
Chapter 4
Everybody was enjoying the journey as if they were going for a picnic. All students were required to have acquired good experience in swimming by now and although all were ready they were a bit anxious about it now they were nearing the scuba diving site. Students were grouped in three's and each group was given a guide. By afternoon, all the guides were showing their frustration. None of the students were cooperating. They were terrifying the guides with their silly fears, "What if some sea fish came near them, what if they died in water, etc.," to the point where the Tour Incharge had to intervene and say that their project marks would be deducted entirely even if their project marks were otherwise full if they did not cooperate now.
Sam and his friends had cooperated earlier on and had almost finished looking around the ship wreck and he had made a thorough mental note of the ship's plan and the safety concerns. He also took some underwater pictures for record. The ship was big in size and the main focus was on luxury and not safety features. To add to that, the design was faulty. It had sunk about three decades ago. He wanted to go there again to note some more things but he was feeling a bit tired and hungry now, so he thought of coming back after lunch. He went back to their lodgings. He was planning on continuing his higher studies in Ship Building and Architecture as opposed to his friends. He had scholarship to back him for this for he was the topper in his class and he felt the tinglings of success as his mind was churning up promising ideas for the prototype he was working on.
