A trio for Lust

Listen to my sonata for excitement
Feel the rhythms of indulgence
Music is light hearted,
Music now has started,
A prologue for lament
Feel the andante heartbeat
I feel yours and yours and yours
Now the beat is presto
Just waiting for the applause
What a symphony of hypocrisy,
What orchestrated deceit,
Flirtatious trills and grace notes
as we tumble beneath the sheets
Tell me, where is my cadenza?
I need to stand alone.
But where are my accompanists?
I’m not sure I like my tone
Are these polyrhythms healthy
or do I subdivide too much?
Is minimalism the key
or should I encourage the touch?
The dynamics between us aren’t healthy
And my articulation is dire.
Now we all slur together
Am I composer or a liar?
I’m settling for mezzo forte
When I want a huge climax
I kid myself; I’m monophonic
but I need your sharp attacks
This is my tone poem for realisation
A romantic concept, like me
As I crescendo towards the ending
How many lovers can you see? (1..2...3)
So when I feel the metronome of your heart
I’ll stop and sing alone
Trouble is, I’ve many tunes
And each different to who it belongs
I’ll indulge in your trio
If you perform for me
If I like your little tune
You’ll be in my symphony
