Asphyxiation

I will thrash my way through seas of odium and I will torment myself with your “affection” no more. This is the demise of our tumultuous tale. I wrote stories of purest love on your frail skin like the elegiac author I am. I will remember you not for the elation and bliss that once reached me from the touch of your lips, but for the foul invectives that left your fingertips like wildfire. You descended from high above to feel me, to experience what boiled below you. You fingered your way through my hair, you pet me like a child. You adored me like a diamond on display, but touched me like I was your object to keep. I thought you knew me. You had invaded every crevice of my mind, every corner of my body, yet when our fire cooled to a scar, you were baffled by my existence. How should I breathe without you? How should I move on my own? You thought I was at the mercy of your praise. Attempt to kill me at your ease, will you? I will show you what it feels like to drown in your own blood.
