All I Can Eat
Moderation in all things
Surely not?
Once the feast begins
I’ll gorge the bloody lot
From raging famine to sumptuous feast
With eyes bigger than my belly
Each morsel fails to linger
Calories mount as I watch the telly
I’ve never bitten off more than I could chew
Though mastication takes a little longer
Each plate piled with something new
I soldier on long forgetting hunger
From cautious A la Carte
To all I can devour
Chinese cuisine
Each and every waking hour

A very nice IP response - well done Forest. You've managed to make it sound effortless, though I'm sure it wasn't!

I hope you were able to curb
I hope you were able to curb your appetite a little to still enjoy!
A son once said to me quite distressed that he didn't seem to like chocolate any more! I think I pointed out that as he was now old enough to choose when/how much of his Christmas chocolate to eat, he had found what happens if you keep going too long at one time! He did recover his liking, and hopefully was more restrained in eating the rest! Rhiannon
