The Pond Of Life
I am a casual toss of lust at my parents command.
I was careless cast into the pond of life
No earthly thought, but by a mortal hand.
The players have long left that lonely shore.
I journeyed on a alone a ripple on that pond.
Crawling uncertain from the water’s edge,
I looked and saw her smiling sweet.
And so together we hurled the hopeful seed
And the gentle swell of life began again.
Clasped with hope, our hands wrung dry,
We helpless watch whilst dark currents eddy by.
We cannot help, only trust they make the land
And life begins again at God’s command.

Enjoyed this, Graham. Circle
Enjoyed this, Graham. Circle of life. Always an interesting topic. One slight typo: I journeyed on a alone a ripple on that pond. I don't think you meant for that first 'a' to be there.
Lovely write,
