Wish You Were Here
A love triangle intricate bound
The juxtaposition of fire and ice
Hopes of the heart by drudgery ground
Forbidden fruit that tasted oh so nice
The nightmare lays snoring
Deafened dreams of hope lay in tatters
A reluctant sun reveals the ashes of mourning
A cherry so sweet, rouge red and revered
I whisper the name my hopes adorning
My love, I wish YOU were here.

A perceptive little one.
A perceptive little one. Interesting comment on the effect of drudgery encouraging temptation. And the play on mourning/morning. Actually in that 4th line from the end , I suspect you don't want the 'is' in the line? Rhiannon
