You were focussed

on study so I waited

peeking through the crack

watched you turn a page

rushed to kiss you quick.

 

I twirled to leave

let you get back to reading

but you held my gaze

 

turned the page

again

and again

and again

 

until I kissed you

again

and again

and again.

After 28 years, my man found me again, in Australia. We were exploring possibilities in Ireland where he lived, for 14 months before coming home to get married.  That was 20 years ago, now. He found me soon after I'd graduated from Mature Aged study and he was finishing his.  Meant to be.
