EXTRACT:
Jessica drove furiously (as in speed) through familiar back streets.
Happy - yes happy - not annoyed because for the first time, she'd didn't have to travel to the West Australian coastal suburb of Cottesloe - twelve miles out of her way for her writers meeting.
However, life was still one continuous panic!
The rush home to feed the cat, shed the corporate world and dash out again to feed her soul in her I-work-in-Accounts-but-want-to-write-romances life. And, being late for meetings at Tom Collins House did not enhance her image as a professional!
So - a new writers group - close to home too! Jessica still bubbled with enthusiasm even though she'd spent the last twenty minutes at the wrong hall.
The guy doing a karate class had been very attractive. He'd noticed her waiting anxiously, eyed her from head to toe, slicked back his hair and delivered the deep 'Can I help you, Babe?' Hmmmmmm, there was definitely something about a man in uniform...
My sincere apologies: I've had to take the full story off here because it will soon be offered for sale on KDP at Amazon. My KINDLE range of books includes a series of Poetry Chpabooks and a Short Story series which includes this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L9E4V3I They are all available to buy or lend.
