A: I'am thinking of..

A time when I was tripping at a festival. I was on a black
micro-dot. Very strong it was. I remember when I first began to peak -
I didn't feel too well - intense stomach cramps and nausea and general
feelings of un-pleasantness. I remember thinking at the time that maybe
I would be able to appreciate the visuals and the experience more if I
didn't have the cramps and the nausea.
I remember walking around and people everywhere looked like they were
walking in slow motion and some of them looked very strange. Wierd
faces and odd shapes and sizes--trails coming off them. I saw two
hooded figures sat under an opening to a tent, who looked like druids.
One of them looked up at me and his eyes began to shine translucent
green or something, anyway it kinda freaked me and fascinated me at the
same time.
I don't remember a heck of a lot only it was a clear night, and
lightening kept flashing across the skies, but strangely no thunder and
no rain, just silent lightening and the stars.
Me and my friend we stumbled upon this acid house party and joined in.
It was at the time when acid house was just beginning to take hold. The
music was a new vibe and people were experimenting, trieing out new
things with sound. It felt strangely sacred, like there was some
powerful spirit being invoked amongst us - the next generation. This
mad chaotic music blasting out, which felt so right, like it was
telling our urban story, but without words.
I looked down at the ground and saw my shadow suddenly leap to life
and dance with me. It was real man, my shadow right in front of me
dancing. This girl kept coming on to me, but I was too wasted to
understand what she was going on about. Just kept telling her that my
shadow was dancing with me.
Some police came in a riot van; they got out dressed in their riot
gear, and began to walk towards us, I remember this bit clearly. One of
the people who was dancing walked to halfway between them and us and
shouted ' Oi You! Get Off Our Land!!' to the police.
The police didn't seem to know what to make of us or what to do, they
looked puzzled, they backed off, got in their van and drove away - and
everybody cheered.
I guess the police must have thought that trieing to arrest us or
whatever, would have just caused a bad scene, spoiling the festival and
wasn't necessary, so they just let us get on with it.
I was dancing till dawn man, and when all of us finally came down from
whatever drugs we had taken we all shook hands and hung out together.
Though I eventually lost everyone during the course of the next day; as
I fell asleep underneath an old tree, waking up to see hypnotic
dreamcatchers twirling in it's branches.
I befriended these travellers who took me to their tipee and gave me
some hashcake - which was just what I needed on a comedown, something
to take the edge off it. They seemed to know a lot about me, and were
very kind. I remember thinking at the time that they were magical
people like the elves.
