This morning when I woke up, I thought of the people who about two weeks ago or more was in the category who was told, “Stay home.” This morning thinking of them, I think that advice has saved their lives. Two of them I am in contact with them every single morning, one I don’t have their phone number, but if they were to still go to work on the bus, I am sure their lives would have been in danger, that they would have caught the coronavirus.
There have been three deaths not due to the virus, people who would die if the virus was not here, one from old age and another from cancer…. These dear people, loved by their loved ones will not be able to have give them a normal send off! Those days are gone for now. The old Gentleman, a Grandfather his daughter has been told, “Immediate family members only.” So sad, and the very popular Vicar who passed away a few days ago, the majority who love her, will not be able to give her the send-off she deserves, she has left a wonderful legacy.
For those local, small, shop keepers, their true colours have been shown! Those who have not put up their prices and those who have. Those who have put their prices up to astronomical prices, will have no business when this is all over. Saw on Facebook this morning one shop is charging £40 for a pack loo rolls. FORTY POUNDS! Their time is coming. People will not forget. And for those amazing, local, small, shop keepers who have stayed true to their community, boy they are the ones who will prosper!
It was strange how the clocks went forward one hour today, and for most of us, it didn’t make any difference, usually it’s all over Facebook, but we are not in normal times.
It was great to watch and choose which Church service I was going to watch on-line, this morning. I watched in my pyjamas and dressing gown.
I’ve stayed indoors now for over a week and I am due to go back to work on 7th April…..I’m not ill, nor do I want to be.
“Works starts on Birmingham Airport for Covid-19 mortuary for up to 12,000 bodies.”
