The Three Gardens. Part Three.

I live in a terraced house; we share the entry and have our own gate into our own back garden. Both gates are always shut, the entry gate is always locked.
When Tony was working for me, the entry and the back gate was wedged wide open with a brick each.
Tony had to quickly improvised when he realized the skip was 50 yards away, out of sight, on the next street a cul-de-sac carpark, he used his wheelbarrow, time consuming but hey, that’s life.
Tony as he came and went to the skip, he would chat with some of the people who sat on their doorsteps, one day a Man said to Tony, “Are you missing one of your electric tools?” Tony replied, “No.” When Tony came back into my garden, he looked and noticed to his horror, that his new power tool was indeed missing! Tony came and told me.
Tony was very angry. It was scarry to think as my family, sat a few yards away in broad daylight, a man walked into our backyard and into the garden and stole an expensive power tool! We have big dogs, but the thief would have known we have the dogs inside due to Tony working for us. There would have been at least two of them, one near the skip and the other near our home, texting each other. So, as Tony left our home with his wheelbarrow, the thief was ready waiting, and as his back was turned as he walked away towards the road, the thief quickly ran into our garden and took the expensive tool. The text would have arrived to say, “He is coming back.” The thief would have gone away in the opposite direction, so when Tony returned on my road, they would have been walking down the road, long gone! I wished our dogs was in their yard, for the garden and the yard are two different things, but safety is paramount, with Tony in our yard and garden.
Tony was recommended to me from a lovely person I worked with, last year. I like recommendations. Something amazing happened, when the Man who asked him, “Are you missing an electric tool?” I don’t know what Tony said to him, but the Man was afraid, when he found out who else is in Tony’s family!
After Tony went home, the Man came to our home and spoke to my Husband Paul, Paul told me, “The Man was terrified!” The man said to Paul, “I know where it is, I will get it back.” The next day the same Man said the same thing to Tony. Tony was unable to carry on his major work, in my garden, as that was an important part of what he needed to do that day. He was not happy, neither was I.
The next day, the Man came and said to Tony, “I know which shop it is in, I will get it back, it is for sale for £10 but you will need to give me £10 so the other Man can get his £10 back.” Tony replied to the Man, “You will get nothing, until I get my item back!”
The end of the second day, Tony did indeed, get his expensive power tool back, it had been cleaned and the price tag of £10 was on it. Tony reluctantly gave £10 to get his own new power tool back! He was not happy, but I told him, “You must be very important if these people know your family member, and made sure your got back your stolen item, you are very lucky.”
