Today I Was Thinking About .........

Have been thinking recently about injustices in the world. One of the things I thought about was women in poor countries in the world, who have to sell their hair for a cheap amount and in another part of the world, their hair is sold for a lot of money.
So, I looked on Google to see where hair was sold a lot and for how little. Different types of hair are sold from Cambodia, from straight to curly and the majority was sold from India, but other countries such a Russia sold hair too.
A woman sold her hair, because her child was sick and she needed medicine, another sold her hair for school books for her three children, which didn’t go very far as it was $8 for each child. Some donated their hair to Temples.
There were two types of buyers, the one who looked in poor communities for women with long hair and asked them, “Do you want money for your hair?” They wouldn’t be given a lot in our money, for their hair, it would be from around $15 up to around $38 and hacked of badly, leaving them unable to even tie it back into a bun. Then there was the other type of buyer, who would ask the same question as above but, would leave the women with a small neat bob or enough left to tie back.
Some women, sell their hair more than once, it’s like a mini savings bank, something to fall back on, for a rainy day.
It must be as nice feeling to have real hair woven into your hair on the other side of the world, or to have a luxurious wig of all colours and lengths. Some of the real hair is used for those who have lost their own hair, because of treatment for cancer.
Up until last year, I would have my hair done once a year. Mine was always synthetic hair, I’ve never been able to afford real hair. Not including the hair that I would buy myself, for my hairdresser to put the synthetic hair in, would cost me staggering £90 I would leave it in for just under 3 months.
Some celebrities have had their hair extensions clipped on and even worse glued onto their heads! Some male celebrities have had hair transplanted starting from £10,000!
If I could afford it, I too would have real hair. But I can’t, so I can only dream. I don’t feel like I’m missing out, for when my hairdresser does my hair, its either for my birthday gift to me, or from my Husband or for Christ mas, again to me or from Paul she always makes me look and feel fantastic. We always feel better when we have had our hair done. I made it very clear to my hairdresser when she told me, “I can book you in any time after July 20th” I let her know, “Not this year, thank you.” It takes about 5 hours to do my hair, I don’t fancy anyone standing behind me close, all that time. So, I wear my trusted hat! Thank goodness for hats!
Their will never be fairness in the World. Its sad for those who have to sell their waist length hair, for a pittance.
