Anyway, the hamsters

Anyway I'm conflicted, social media, television adverts and the internet keep people in check, occupying them by telling them what their aspirations are, but if all this didn't exist as an aspirational treadmill, wouldn't people be happier making their own choices and not being influenced by the next big thing they have to buy or do. People might even be more relaxed.

There would always be a 'keeping up with the Jones'' pressure, though restricted to what can be seen in neighbours and work colleagues, but not the intensity of bombarment, and easier ot keep in check, and have time to give sensible thought? Rhiannon
