The Darkness Part One

The trees passed in blurs as I ran, I ran for my life. I heard it coming for me and I stopped frozen, as fear trickled like ice through my veins. I shut my eyes not wanting to see it and instead listened and I heard the sound of four large paws pounding upon the forest floor and the sharp intakes of ragged breathing. I took a deep, shuddering breath and I started to shake, it had finally found me. I turned to face it and saw a pair of menacing blood red eyes and long, dagger like white fangs that seemed to glisten in the moonlight. As I looked at it my knees buckled and I fell to the floor, I fell to death's feet.
