Now is the day when we hit the attic,
Once again reveal the decorations and tree.
So get ready with the glue, duct tape and hoover,
Most of this stuff is older than me.

The last line makes this for me. So nice to keep the tradition and use the old faithful decorations that have such sentimental value. What a tale they could tell of Christmases seen. Could I just suggest Today is the day, rather than 'now'. Enjoyed your poem - and good luck with the decorating. Have fun!
