It’s a pretty rough time for some sisters and brothers,
That’s why I’m thankful to spends my nights under covers,
300 million others share this lovely privilege with me,
But they’re more concerned about what’s considered PC,
Shouting things over nations that still lose their head,
Not seeing their own pupils are still afraid of the lead.
Because some jokers bought posters that were bigger than others,
And won the hearts and opinions of a few stubborn mothers,
Who wanted change from the change they were gracefully given,
3 squares a day isn’t enough to be livin’?
No they need 44 home-cooked just won’t cut it,
Like giving a rifle to Ernie the muppet,
Jaw’s drop to some still walking this earth,
Why do they feel fine when animals hurt?
Choosing right or left leaves us looking like clowns,
It’s why people are still ending up 6 feet down.
The tiny hands are cradling this delicate world,
That still holds attention to is it boy or a girl?
We all want peace to end the international cry,
Why can’t you love each other like you’re loving the sky.
