Miss Stempali's classroom looked no bigger than a regular old boring place back in the old age when they had outdated corporal punishments and limited school activities. The desks were all lined up in a straight array counted in five rows. But the only exception this class is missing—a regular desk for Swift as well. At the very back of the room behind every single desk, a blue wooden high chair with a clean white desk board in a bland design stood there idly.
"Is this my desk?" Swift asked looking confused. "Where is my regular desk?"
"Yes," Miss Stempali replied in a stern voice and approached her with her big belly moving sideways. "I have examined your size and ordered you a high chair for you to see the board just fine."
"I demand you to get me a desk like everyone else has!" Swift jumped up and down flailing her arms like a child throwing a tantrum. "Thank you for making me the laughingstock of this class, my not-so-favorite teacher!"
"Watch that attitude, young lady," Miss Stempali wagged a finger in front of her as a warning. "I paid money for this high chair and you are going to make the best use out of this!" she added and picked her up by clutching two hands on Swift's torso and pressed her down the seat of the high chair.
"I am NOT a School Baby, Miss Stempali!" Swift screamed and kicked her legs making the high chair rumble to her kicking.
"Cry me a river," Miss Stempali mocked and left Swift alone as she needed to begin the class through usual intros and daily plans.
The first thing everyone except Swift participated in doing today is mathematics and arithmetic's of multiplication and dividing. Meanwhile, Swift is pouting like a whiny little baby feeling intimidated that anyone who makes eye contact with her will continue to laugh and emit lousy baby noises at her. Swift felt that slacking off in class is a bad reputation of being a student and decided to do her work anyways trying to avoid confrontation from any bullies.
"Aww, lookie here," a blue-headed twin pigtailed young girl said approaching to Swift who is still in her high chair. "If it isn't Baby Vilunim aka the School Baby."
"Go back oinking in the pig farm," Swift shot back in sarcasm not feeling offended by the nickname she received. "Your twin pigtails make excellent small pieces of fresh bacon for breakfast."
The blue-headed girl gasped in astonishment and quickly took off the ribbons to make her hair longer and normal.
"First of all, my piece of hair would be 'tainted meat' in pigtail bacon then," the blue-headed girl replied to clear the statement. "Second of all, no wonder you act all babyish sitting in a stupid high chair like that for a teenager."
"Give me your name and I shall give you mine!" Swift growled.
"How bold of you, Baby Vilunim," the blue-headed girl laughed. "I already knew you are Swift. In that case, I am Lightning. I'm the princess of this school."
"If you get captured in a castle," Swift began as she thought of making a reference from a popular video game on the NES. "Your white knight will have a lot of stress from hearing the toads say 'thank you whatever this guy's name is but our princess is in another castle!' and you really don't want to be another damsel in distress." She finished her statement and laughed real hard in Lightning's face. Lightning was not amused.
"You are not funny," Lightning placed her hands on her hips and sneered at Swift looking like she literally wanted to knock over the high chair and make Swift fall flat on her face.
"Pshaw," Swift swayed her hand in a Frenchman's wave at Lightning. "Throw yourself and your dog a funny bone for good laughs."
"There is nothing funny about childish behavior like that!" Lightning grabbed the desk of Swift's high chair and pushed it back causing the high chair to fall back.
Swift watched in horror as she is about to impact the floor and screamed really loud for help but nobody came to her in emergency. Just then, Swift rolled out of her high chair in a ball and smacked into a wall leaving a human shape of her. Lightning saw the human shape, snicked and slapped her knee. She hysterically laughed while encouraging the others to join in and laugh along Miss Stempali ran to the scene to calm the class down and directed them to go sit back down and study to focus on Swift.
"Ow," Swift said in pain as she rose slowly from the wall in ruins. "Lightning is so going to pay for this damage in property taxes!"
Swift regained her consciousness and attempted to attack Lightning but was stopped quickly by the time Miss Stempali grabbed her by the back of her dress and lifted her up off her feet. She swung around in the teacher's strong hold only to flail her arms and kick her feet.
"Calm down, little Vilunim," Miss Stempali looked her in a death glare as if she was going to turn her to stone like Medusa. "Or you will be someplace where happiness in fairy tales does not exist."
The comment Miss Stempali had just said sounded really threatening to a young child. Any type of scary content like that could leave the young scarred for the rest of their lifetime. However, Swift did not feel intimidated by her silly phrase of fairy tales.
"What's that place like?" Swift asked in curiosity but decided to joke about it. "A stool with me wearing Dunce as the troubled Santa Claus?" she answered and laughed really hard.
Miss Stempali did not laugh along. In fact, she never got the joke and moved onto the serious topic by opening the door and put her down gently on the floor.
"Can I go home now?" Swift joked again with a smile.
"Nope," Miss Stempali replied as she stood there just for a few seconds but got her huge belly ready in gear and pushed back her weight. Swift turned and noticed her teacher doing something and asked, "What are you doing?"
With an unleashed belly bump, Miss Stempali's great big belly collided against Swift and sent her flying out into the hallway only to scrape the floor with her behind.
"I'm going to give you a few minutes to think about what you've done!" Miss Stempali yelled. "You destroyed my valuable wall and picked a fight against one of my students!"
"You must be crazy," Swift rotated a finger around her head like a crank. "Lightning knocked me over!"
"Putting the blame on someone nice and sweet is very unnecessary," Miss Stempali said crossing her arms giving Swift an "I'm not convinced" look.
"It's not my fault! It's not my fault!" Swift shouted trying to defend herself but nobody would believe her.
"Keep your little mouth shut, little Vilunim or I will fail you. End of story," Miss Stempali said as she returned back into the class and shut the door behind her leaving Swift all alone in the hallway.
Swift sat down on the floor staring at the ceiling with an angry look on her face. She knew that every time something goes wrong, she is always the victim magnet for trouble. It was so unfair for a mean girl to pick on a smaller girl.
