Hand in hand we'll walk into Eternity

And if God has to stop his heart before mine,

As he one day might,

And take my love divine,

I pray he makes my memories grow dim,

so I won't think to much of him that filled my life,

my heart,

my days,

in so many lovely, ecstatic ways.

And finally,

When it's my turn to leave,

I somehow truly and surely believe,

My one and only love will be waiting for me with hands to take me into Eternity.
