Clarinet at sea

It's been a long time since I've heard her voice.
And now I'm here again it shows that I've been mistaken.
She has no voice, the sea.
She is silent like a mother is wonder-struck when
she looks at the soothing eyes of her newborn child.
Maybe the sea has been waiting for this moment:
that I'm ready to grasp, this silence.
Because love always starts this way? Bright, cautious.
Like waking water flows over the warm sands,
wise wind blows across the barren dunes.
