WE ARE NOT DECORATIONS

Although we are all embellished
Ornaments hung from our limbs
We are not decorations

On every street
With every heart beat
We are told
We are sold
Options on how to enhance
How better to prance
We are trying to be put into some sort of trance
And because it is easy
We follow their lead
But we are not decorations

We take out loans
So our bones can be coated
In diamonds
Which essentially are stones
Our natural scent is not cologne
But we do not atone to a natural state
And if do we become irate
At the people and their state
We are not decorations
We do not need to be sedated

We use our bodies like dumping grounds
Filling our faces
Expanding our waists
While half the world literally goes to waste
Get lots of creams and pastes
Soaking them into our skin
We should take the hint
When they come in non-degradable tins

We are not decorations
Are bodies are not metal
They do not need to excessively shine
We need to draw lines
Between fiction and non
Between pictures and reality
That is what has led to this fatality
We are not decorations

To feel good
We should not need substances
To cause chemical reactions
Or chemicals to lighten our hair or skin
We are alchemists
Drawers and tables full
Of how to get happy and how to get sad
Not biochemistry
But electrochemistry
We are not concerned about the functions of the spleen
But how numb and high we can get our heads
How much electricity we can spark off our skin

We are not decorations
No matter how many ornaments one posses
No matter how many bodies one addresses and undresses

We are not decorations
We are one humanity
One nation
One that needs salvation
We need to rid ourselves of frustration
We need to dig a new foundation
We need to celebrate ourselves
Not emulate plastic figures and notions

We are not decorations
Humans are not supposed to be in corporations
Or suffer from stress induced constipation
We need to higher our own expectation
Fuck imitation
Limitation, hesitation
Change the situation
We are not decorations
Stop procrastination
Stop being objects of manipulation
Cause a sensation
A strong vibration
