Don't Touch
'Don't touch!'
I warn myself to obey my own restriction -
Last night's dreams are not for today
And He
Is unaware of me,
Of the way I want to reach, to disrobe
And trace his creases
With my fingers
While his fingers explore my own.
Eyes meet
Then flick away,
I think he's teasing me
Until I remember
He doesn't feel that way.
I hope my fantasies are not emblazoned
Across my cheeks
In red profusion,
That my makeup hides my sexual confusion.
To need,
To want to touch
And not be able
Is torture,
Is more than bearable.
