The weekend

The worst thing about fridays, I thought was the blimming proximity to monday! It was bad when the weekend was overshadowed by monday dread. It was like two days off made returning on monday that much more miserable , you have glimpsed the possiblities that exsist outside the dreaded four walls and are inevitably sucked back in.
Well today was friday so I should concentrate on that, embrace the endless possibilities of the weekend. Who knows the world might well end and blasted monday may never arrive. Theres always hope I thought .
The most important thing about making the most of the weekend is full utilization of the friday night. You must go out, It stretches the freedom that much further you see, Although know where to draw the line. If you get absolutely twatted on a friday it wastes saturday in near-death hangover coma land; or if you really push it, guilt-ridden-oh-no-what-did-i-do land which again makes you wish the world would end so you dont have to face the enevitable post mortem of your behaviour.
So rule one go out have a few drinks but remember your journey home and don't make a tit out of your self! Rule two , if at all possible and you are lucky to have a wide circle of friends go out with them. NOT work colleagues. I am not saying you cannot be friends with people at work and they are not good for the odd lunch outing, but if you hang out with them on your friday night freedom celebrations you will not feel like you have totally escaped work at all. Also of course if you have ballsed up rule 1 there is less chance that you will be fired ( not impossible, criminal records are frowned upon in many work places so do not push it!)
Okay so I have met up with post work non work related posse, and the drinks are in...and relax, euphoria of alcohol and freedom are sinking in, then from the bar i hear the blessed dreaded words.."jaegggaaaaarrrrrr!!!!!!".....
and now its sunday evening how the hell did that happen and monday is beckoning. Damn it, one of these days I will apply the rules!!
