Sticky Fingers

I superglued a burglar to my ceiling,
Watched him cry.
Supported him with sellotape and velcro
Like a fly,
Removed support and let his stretchy skin
Take all the weight.
Observed as flesh ripped open and he landed
In a state.
I asked him why he'd wanted to break in
And take my goods.
Instead of working hard and saving money
Like he should.
I kicked him in the stomach as he bled
Upon my floor.
Cursed his violation of the space
Behind my door.
I've paid my tax
I've bought my goods
I've mortgaged to the hilt
What right have scum to pillage rape
And burgle free from guilt.
I called the police and poured a tub of salt
Into his cuts.
Sat there waiting patiently as blood seeped
From his guts.
The next time I get burgled I'll be waiting
With a knife.
I wont let them off with superglue but simply
Take their life.
