His rage and fear formed a beast
That skulked in his mind
Slavering behind
the timetables, recipes,
and metronome thoughts.
It snarled a warning should he stray
too close.
One day he did not tiptoe quietly
through the dry tasks
That kept it at bay.
He stumbled into its maw
via a trail of memories.
He killed her that afternoon.

You seem to capture someone
You seem to capture someone stifling anger and hurt and bitterness, rather than facing it, and realising the need of help to put it away before it leads to such awfulness. Asking people to help is difficult and limited, God's help is always available – and his help to face talking to other people about it too. Rhiannon
