i love avocado
enough,
to get married to it.

here comes the bride,
short, brown and wide,

and beneath that shy,
goosebump skin,
a creamy, green yellow
heart hidden within.

but now I have undressed her,
my bride’s hide
is bad for cats and dogs.

things would have been alright,
had we not got
so stoned,
on our wedding night.

and now my bride
has gone bad,
inside.
