Treachery at Wuhan
A Novel by Joseph Xavier Martin
A daring night incursion, on the North Korean Coast, to rescue two imprisoned American C.I.A operatives is sabotaged by an information leak in Washington D.C. Several Special Forces troops are gunned down. The rest of the team narrowly escapes death. A diplomatic disaster looms.
In another immediately following raid, by two Special Forces A-Teams on separate nights, the tables are turned and the North Korean defenders are mowed down like wheat in a farmer’s field. The two C.I.A operatives, though bloodied from interrogation, are rescued. The entire force escapes in a dramatic gun battle and helicopter exfiltration.
In Washington, the leak is traced, found and plugged. The FBI scoops up two of the local spies. One D.C. official quietly resigns his post. The last foreign agent, in the Tinkers to Evers to Chance connection, is silenced forever on an off shore Island. No one will ever know what happened. But, the American message gets “sent to Chance.”
