Oh where do the tears go?
By K. N. Thorn

Oh where do the tears go?
Down reddened cheeks
they fall from nowhere
carrying all sorts of things
Glad, sad, mad
they are all in tow
Oh where do the tears go?
Now it has been weeks
it will never be fair
They clipped off your wings
grounded you like a lily pad
But wait, watch how they flow.
Oh where do the tears go?
Everything is still bleak
even with a crisp in the air
while the cuckoos sing
So tired of all the fads
What seeds shall I sow?

I like the way you have
I like the way you have written this, and the honesty in few words.
I'm reminded of 'Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.' Psalm 126:5 Sorrow does sometimes precipitate desires to good sowing, and prayer, both bringing some comfort. Rhiannon
