Messed Up Life Of A Messed Up Girl

Hidden underneath this strawberry flavored teen smile
Is the messed up life of a messed up child
Lost in the darkness
Can't find the light
even though neon is her middle name
Betrayed by her few left loved ones as they've lost the mentality all together
Hit with the lies
Giving up on tries
is it worth it to gaze into those skies
Where is she to go you do the math?
Because she doesn't want to
Now she's fixing to have school starting back too
that'll be a break
with entire sanity at stake
lost in the depths
crying on the side
not always sure even why
dying her hair and giving a I don't give a care
she's going to step in with one of her best friends to there
if she has any of her classes good luck with that
not ready for the world of high school
not ready to grow up
she hasnt done enough childish things
to walk those halls
hasnt had enough giggly phone calls
but she never will
and she'll never be healed
she'll have to hide in the bathroom stall popping pills
studying mills and cills
and dividing more than fractions
She's going to struggle to hold on even more
an addition to her list of choirs
why be excited for high school
it's just more rules
they used to be fun to break
but it's getting old and there's not many breakable rules she hasn't already tried
nothing exciting to do
it's all gonna be brand new
but still the same
more to lose
and nothing to gain
