1. Kath, you left us with good memories.
I evoke you with special songs,
dedicating them to your life.
You had so much caring energy.
You filled others with hope.
We were sheltered by your love.
2. In hospital you felt separate from our love.
All alone with just your memories.
You fought on with hope,
quietly singing favourite songs.
Lying in your bed, low on energy,
you held tightly onto life.
3. On good days we saw your life
shining out. We gave our love
unconditionally. I gave you energy
hoping it would heal. Old memories
of adventures flowed. Talk of songs
and happy times gave us all hope.
4. A new challenge for our hope.
A hidden threat to Jack’s life
was revealed. We listened out for songs
of courage and armed ourselves with love.
Filled with re-awakened memories
of what happened to Kath’s energy.
5. Jack tackled his condition with great energy.
His actions filled us all with hope.
All the while the old memories
haunted us, of a special life
that had passed. Determined love
kept us going, like rousing songs.
6. I listen to powerful songs
of life, bathing in the energy
of sound. Peace and love
fill my mind again, fuelling hope.
Jack is victorious, a testament to his life
force, thwarting the bad memories.
7. Let our happy memories define our life.
Whilst there is energy there is hope.
Let your love resound like powerful songs.
