'So...Where's Memory HM96348?'

Laila puts her blue folder over the table, and crosses her slender legs. Clad in bright lurex, they look really great. Mr. Vester makes an effort to continue looking at his notebooks. Laila sighs impatiently.

'You promised that after my 300 implant operations, you were going to tell me !'

Sil Vester takes the blue folder with his perfect manicured hands and opens it.

'Let me see... Yes!....300 operations... Hmmmm....Very well!...'

He signs at the bottom of the last page, looks at his signature wonderingly, and closes the folder with a snap. After a while he looks at Laila straight in the eye.

'Do you remember ?'

What?'

'When you collected that memory'

'How can I forget! It was my husband's'

'Yes! He was your husband. I'm sure that you're aware that things are not the same after the implants. I mean...Maybe he doesn't recognize you! Data is always lost in the process.'

'I know !.. Nevertheless...I'll take the risk. Where is it? In what subject? '

Sil plays with his golden pen for a while. Laila gets nervous and moves her legs to and fro, while biting her nails; thing she hates to do, as she knows it shows her lack of confidence .

'He's in Subject AZ608...You didn't want to do it, that time, which was understandable, under the circumstances. So Dr Zeus was in charge. We hope he did a good job...But you never can tell'

His half smile and his pouting lip is so disgusting, that Leila looks away.

'And the name of this Subject?'

Vester shifts to his computer. It seems ages before he lifts his eyes and say
